Privacy Policy

The short version: AvoidZero is designed with a simple privacy principle — your financial data never leaves your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to any of your personal or financial information.

What Data Does AvoidZero Store?

AvoidZero stores the following data locally on your device only:

Income sources and amounts you enter
Expense sources and amounts you enter
Your configured balance, inflation rate, and safety buffer
Simulation and optimization results you generate
Profile/workspace data you create
Notes you add to analysis workspaces
App preferences (selected theme, language, trial status)

All of this data is stored in a local database on your device. It is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.

What Data Does AvoidZero Collect?

None. AvoidZero does not collect any data whatsoever. Specifically:

No personal information (name, email, phone number)
No device identifiers or fingerprints
No usage analytics or telemetry
No crash reports transmitted to any server
No advertising identifiers
No location data
No contacts, photos, or files (beyond backup files you explicitly create)

What Permissions Does AvoidZero Require?

Zero special permissions. AvoidZero does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, storage, or any other device capability. The only permission that may be requested is notification permission (Android 13+) for optional financial runway alerts, which are generated entirely on your device.

Third-Party Services

AvoidZero uses Google Play Billing for in-app purchases. Purchase transactions are handled by Google Play and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your payment information — Google handles all payment processing.

No other third-party services, SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks are used in this app.

Data Sharing

AvoidZero does not share any data with any third party. There is no data to share — we never have access to your information.

Data Storage and Security

Your financial data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. This data is:

Not encrypted at rest by the app (your device's built-in encryption protects it)
Not backed up to cloud services by default (Android auto-backup is configured to exclude financial data)
Not accessible to other apps on your device (Android sandboxing)

Backup and Data Portability

You can export your data as a .rclock backup file using the in-app Backup feature. This file is created on your device and goes wherever you choose to save it — email, cloud drive, USB transfer. We never see or have access to your backup files.

Data Deletion

To delete all AvoidZero data, simply uninstall the app. All locally stored data is permanently removed when the app is uninstalled. Any backup files (.rclock) you created are under your control — delete them from wherever you saved them.

Children's Privacy

AvoidZero is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is a financial simulation tool intended for adults.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the updated version at this URL and update the "Last Updated" date. Since we collect no data, changes are unlikely to affect your privacy.
